While buying the sofa, the salesperson pushed hard for the protection plan, promising it would “cover anything,” including wear, peeling, and even pet damage. Based on that assurance, I paid extra for the plan. Fast forward a few years, and the leather started peeling off. When I finally contacted their service department—expecting the protection plan to do exactly what I was told it would—they informed me that this kind of damage isn’t covered at all. So what exactly did I pay for? I feel completely misled. The protection plan was sold as a safety net, but it turned out to be a total waste of money. The sofa quality hasn’t held up, the warranty was useless, and the customer service response made the whole situation feel like a scam. Save your money and your frustration. I will never buy furniture from Raymour & Flanigan again, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend their so-called protection plan to anyone.
