That’s ridiculous! I left because that storage unit wasn’t worth that price in the slightest. I also found mice droppings in my unit as well which was disgusting. They push you to write a good review when you first rent because they want to drown out the bad reviews. Search for better.
- SASam AOct 9, 20251.0The facility has undergone significant changes after being acquired by Extra Space Storage, previously known as Life Storage. Renovations took place over a two-month period, which included painting walls and changing doors. Unfortunately, during this renovation, my brand new truck ended up with paint splatters. Due to the ongoing work, I had to park outside the facility. Compounding the issues, the facility experienced a fire, resulting in no access for approximately a month and a half. Despite these challenges, management continued to collect rent fees without offering any discounts, even for those of us who had to park outside the premises. This situation has raised serious concerns about the management practices of Extra Space Storage, which seems to be primarily focused on collecting payments rather than addressing tenant issues. A formal complaint has been filed with the Department of Consumer Affairs regarding these matters. If you find yourself facing similar issues, it is advisable to contact the Consumer Affairs department, as they regulate storage facilities. Filing an official complaint may help to resolve your concerns. do not believe the good reviews as most of them are fake. No one is happy at this facility. This is a follow up review, I attempt to call the number as instructed on the reply for this complaint, but no one is answering and nobody wants to get back. I called the main phone number. They said that there is a note on the account that we are closing this case we are not doing any negotiation.
- BLBenjamin LevyOct 8, 20251.0Just found out that this facility has been double charging me for eight months (they apparently increased the rate by a factor of two and failed to notify me). Will be contacting the better business bureau about this if the problem is not addressed promptly. I would advise steering clear of this facility. Update: after contacting the better business bureau and filing a complaint, i can confirm that the facility hiked their prices by a factor of two and have refused to do anything to remedy the situation. Supposedly they gave me a 30 day notice - one that I never received and a poor business practice in any event, as im out of town and would not be able to move my things within that time period even if I wanted to. This business will clearly screw its customers over for profit and you won't be able to do anything about it, esp if you can't return to the facility promptly- I highly recommend staying away from this place. It is a complete scam.
