- MBMatthew BealOct 11, 20251.0The general manager has no empathy. I'm an auction buyer. They offer 48 hr clean out from the sale time. Which sometimes is not fair depends on when it was. I'm coming from a distance away. And the auction website was crazy glitchy that day which it often does. I overbought 1 unit because I didn't know I won this. Anyways they offer the 48hr cleanouts doesn't matter if it's a 5x5 or a 10x25. Crazy to me. I needed one extra day because another reason I couldn't find a big truck to clean out my 10x25. And getting through NYC to Newark is crazy amount of time. Amazon takes most of the trucks from everywhere. The smaller trucks which makes everyone else have to share the bigger trucks. You can never get one from Sept - dec. The general manager didn't care and wouldnt even offer a little extension. I had a truck set for the day after. He wanted me to rent it for close to $500. This auction game is a gamble and is 75 percent trash. I couldn't do it. So I paid 1200 for the unit and was able to grab a quarter of it. He wouldn't even talk to me when I was there. I was talking to a part time. I over heard him on the phone making sure he wasn't on speaker phone. Just crazy. This is how I made an extremely hard living for my family for 15 years. And because he wouldn't let me have an additional day or pay I will probably be suspended for life. Most other storage places give 72 hrs. And all of my 15 years doing this I never had a manager not give one extra day. It's life we are human. It's. Not perfect all the time. Well he will probably benefit from all the nice furniture I left. Though even given the extra day I would have still broken even after 50-60 hrs of work with it all. Oh well.
