- CRconnie reiderFeb 25, 20261.0FYI: Lowe’s has a 48-hr Return Policy on Appliances. The time clock starts as soon as delivery or pickup is done. My personal experience: purchased a Microwave oven online at Lowe’s and picked it up on 1/3/26. Had it installed on Wednesday 1/7/26…obviously, the return window had surpassed the 48-hr Policy timeframe. Two days later I concluded that the microwave oven was not as expected…features were not easy to navigate and offered few options. I had to press the selected option quite hard to initiate the process. The menu panel was not easy to navigate and fingerprints had to be cleaned at every step. I called the local Lowes Customer Care and was informed that I was not eligible to return the microwave since it was beyond the 48-hr Policy. There was no “give” even when I said that a 48-hr Policy for a return of a major appliance was insane, unethical and poor customer support. To further my return quest, I emailed Lowes Corporate Office detailing the circumstances for my return request. Unfortunately, and to my disdain, the Corporate Executive Customer Relations Team repeated the same rhetoric about the 48-hr Return Policy and expressed their apologies for any inconvenience the incident may have caused me. They stood firm on their 48-hr Return Policy and would not consider any exemptions to the policy. Suffice to say…I am disappointed at Lowes Corporate Customer Service response to my query and I will never purchase any appliances from Lowes.

When we arrived, the person who seemed to be in charge kept arguing with me and shutting down every proactive solution I tried to suggest, even though I was just trying to make it work. Thankfully, another employee stepped in and found a way for my son to participate, and he had a great time. I appreciate the help, but the back-and-forth was really frustrating.

How do I check my order status?

How do I know if my order is ready to be picked up?
You’ll receive an email with pickup instructions and the location of the store you selected when your order is ready. You can pick up your order during store operating hours at the designated pickup area. Just provide the order confirmation email or order number with your photo ID (state driver’s license, military ID or state ID). For your protection, only the cardholder or an authorized user of the credit card may pick up the order.
How do I return or exchange an item?
Most (but not all) items can be returned within 90 days. If you bought something from Lowes.com, you can start a return online in your Order History before shipping it back to us. For in-store returns, you’ll be asked to provide proof of purchase at the customer service desk. The return barcode for the order works, too, and can be found on your Order Details page.
How do I cancel an item from my order?
You can cancel items from orders that haven’t yet shipped or haven't been picked up in store by signing into your MyLowe’s account and selecting Orders & Purchases. It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
