  This is a bottom of the barrel company. Not only are they not woman-owned (like they falsely state on their website), but the work they do is haphazardly thrown together by people who clearly have absolutely no idea what they're doing. When they are doing "inspections" they don't actually inspect anything, visually or otherwise. They pass things that should have failed 100%, regardless of if it creates a fire hazard or not. They are more concerned with time than they are safety. Once upon a time they called the town inspector out to my building. ACD was supposed to have inspected everything and made sure that it was all in working order before calling him. The town inspector arrives, and surprise, nothing is working as it should be. That poor inspector sat there for hours while the incompetent AC Daughtry employees on site tried and failed to fix the issues over and over again. It got so bad that the inspector finally decided he couldn't wait any longer and re-scheduled. So finally, weeks later, the re-scheduled date comes along and everything is supposed to be in working order by now. They have had more than enough time to make sure of that. Yet again, nothing is working as it's supposed to and apparently nobody at AC Daughtry knows how to fix it. How is it that we passed the ACD inspection like this?! They must have not inspected anything at all. They installed this mess of a system themselves, and they don't even know how to troubleshoot it! Pathetic! I hired another company and they came and ripped out all of the trash AC Daughtry left there. By trash, I mean their "security" system. I wouldn't even hire this company to babysit my cat or water my plants, because I bet they'd find a way to screw that up and kill both of them too! Avoid at all costs!

  AC Daughtry was recommended to me by my locksmith. It took 4 calls with messages left before I got a sales rep to finally reply. On July 31, 2020 a salesman Frank met me at the site and did do a fairly thorough walk through the facility. I was interested in security cameras, access control and management of the fire alarm system. On August 6th I received a text from the sales rep promising that he would "get something to you tomorrow". After about 2 more weeks of waiting for a proposal I called him again and this time I was given the excuse that a tree fell on his father's house and that he would get back to me. Well I'm not sure what his latest excuse would be but It is now well over one month since I met with him and still not a word. If you see nothing wrong with being treated like I have then go ahead and use AC Daughtry, otherwise do yourself a favor and keep looking. UPDATE: Sept 13, 2020 Even after this negative review to date AC Daughtry hadn't made any attempt to contact me - my gain! I kept looking and didn't take long to come upon Protective Measures Security and Fire Systems in Denville. I called them and within 12 days met with their salesman and had a complete proposal/contract. BTW I will be informing my locksmith friend who originally referred me to AC Daughtry to rethink his referral! UPDATE: I did finally receive a call from the owner who was just recently made aware of my negative review. After speaking with him I do now believe that the problem was not with company but with the salesman who by the way is no longer there. It seems that he never got the job to the proposal stage. Apparently the owner even had difficulty tracking it down prior to calling me. After considering all the facts and keeping my electrician's recommendation in mind I would definitely give AC Daughtry another chance. I have revised the rating from one to four stars to reflect this.

  Big fan of their customer service. Been using them for 3 years now as it was the system installed when I moved in. Super secure system with incredible features. But again, most importantly, the service is great.

  AC Daughtry Security has been a very reliable company for me. The technicians show up when promised and are very courteous and explain things very well AND clean up when they are done. The price is so much better than the large companies. I highly recommend them.
