Very disappointing experience with Blinds To Go.
I originally wanted roller shades. After multiple consultations, I chose cellular shades for two rooms and planned wood shades for the others. When I was told the cost of real wood, the store manager pushed me toward faux wood, assuring me the quality was better than Home Depot.
That was not true.
The first faux wood blind installed was poor quality, damaged, and dirty right out of the box — including a dent, bent PVC voids, and slats that never stay centered (the middle cord constantly pulls to one side). I reported the issues immediately, shared photos, and refused installation of the remaining faux wood blinds, which were returned.
When I tried to reach a reasonable resolution by switching those rooms to cellular shades instead, I was shut down immediately and spoken to dismissively. The manager made inappropriate and unprofessional remarks and took no accountability. I also contacted corporate, was promised a callback, and never heard back.
While the cellular shades themselves were fine, I was never advised that the top-down/bottom-up feature is impractical for high windows, something a knowledgeable consultant should flag. I was also sold the wrong remote for the motorized cellular shades and experienced a motor issue days after installation, which took two weeks just to schedule service.
I had planned to use Blinds To Go for additional rooms, but after this experience, I won’t return. This felt like a company focused on making the sale, not advising the customer or standing behind their product.
