I stopped into the garden center to pick up a few items. I was not sure exactly where to find 2 of the 5 items I needed. I asked Ricardo where I could find the 2 items and he directed me to the exact spots I need to go to. He saw me a bit later and asked if I had found what I needed and did I need additional help. Very courteous and helpful.

We contracted Lowe’s for a carpet installation in our home and were assigned Hunter Floor Installation as the installer. We scheduled a Saturday installation to accommodate our work schedules, as both my husband and I work remotely.
In preparation, we cleared our living room entirely, moving furniture into our dining room, which left both spaces unusable.
On the Friday prior to our scheduled installation, Hunter contacted my husband indicating they were en route that morning. This came as a complete surprise, as we had not requested or approved any change to our confirmed Saturday appointment. A Friday installation was not feasible due to our work obligations.
After reviewing our documentation, it became clear that the appointment had been changed without our knowledge or consent. When we raised this, we were informed that a location closure had impacted their scheduling capacity. We were then told that Saturday was no longer available and that the next option would be Tuesday.
This situation created a significant disruption. Our home remained in a displaced state for several additional days, and we were forced to rearrange our work schedules, including taking time off and relocating to alternative workspaces.
Equally concerning was the manner in which this issue was initially handled. The communication we received suggested that the scheduling change may have originated on our end, which was not accurate based on our records. Clear and transparent communication is essential in situations like this, and we did not experience that here.
To be fair, the installation team itself was professional and performed quality work once on site. Our concerns are not with the installers, but with the scheduling and customer service process.
While Lowe’s did offer a $100 gift card, we do not feel this adequately reflects the level of disruption caused. Given the scale of the project and the impact on our home and work schedules, we expected a more proportionate resolution.
Overall, this experience fell short of expectations due to the lack of communication, unilateral schedule changes, and insufficient resolution. We hope both Hunter Floor Installation and Lowe’s take steps to improve coordination and customer communication moving forward.

I had a very disappointing experience at Lowe’s. They attempted to charge me more than the price clearly advertised online. When I asked about it, I was told that I had to purchase it online to receive that price — even though nowhere did it state “online only.”
The situation got worse when the manager, Dan, became extremely rude to my wife. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, he lectured her, saying that if he honored the price for five customers a day, they would “lose money.” That’s not the customer’s concern, especially when Lowe’s publicly advertises price matching (except they “can’t beat their own price,” apparently).
To make matters worse, they went ahead and processed the purchase online themselves just to avoid honoring the in store price difference, which then caused a security issue with my credit card. All of this over a $30 difference.
Completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
I will not be returning. There’s a Home Depot right up the road, and they’ll be getting my business instead. The microwave I currently have on order with Lowe’s will be canceled and purchased from Home Depot.
Very disappointing experience.
