- AKAriel KilpatrickNov 25, 20251.0Extra Space Storage on Chancellor avenue in Irvington New Jersey has roaches. I complained to onsite staff, they said an exterminator comes once a month. After a few months , the monthly fee increased by double the amount. After I called about the increase, they claimed a letter was sent to me in the mail informing that my storage price was going up. Also the they close at 7pm weekdays. I came there yesterday at 6:30pm and parked near the door that was close to where my storage is located, only to have the female that was working close the gate as I was about to unload my car. I ASKED HER, "why would you close the gate when you see I'm about to unload. She said " the gate was suppose to be closed at 6:45pm. I said, "well, it's only 6:33pm".Then she said, "well this door here at the end supposed to be closed at 6:30pm and if you want to complain to management you can".
