    This store has declined over the past few years. As a Profesional Contractor it is no longer convenient to direct my clients to the Hillsboro store as it's associates are clueless as to how customer service works. For example while purchasing sample backsplash tile all small subway like, the cashier came across one tile with no info. Rather than go back to the department I asked if any Pro Desk associates were available. Someone was called. After waiting 10 minutes for him to arrive he disappeared again to go check the price. He came back with a box displaying the tile and tells me the tile is sold by the box and he didn't know why it was displayed that way. After accusing me of opening the box he then tells me I have to buy the whole box. I informed him that I was a Lowes Pro and in the past the Pro desk would give samples to be returned and purches multiple. This guy tells me that if he did that he would be inappropriate as if to embarrass me in front of 4 others waiting to purchase. Even the people waiting were appalled. Now I'm forced to buy a partially filled box for full price that I will have a problem returning if the client doesn't like it. Never again. Lowes associates need training ! During another visit I asked an associate to see an exterior door lock that was locked behind glass. His response was "Can't you see it from there ?" Blood boiling I purchased locks from Amazon. The audacity of these people, who do they think they are ? If I could return all, I would but moving forward I will try to avoid Lowes from here on out!

    Like any big box stores,sometimes it's hard to get problems resolved. I was fortunate to have numerous helpful and polite employees, and a manager who had to step in because of the procedure that needed to be followed, where certain items aren't returnable, unless they're deemed defective. Even though I live closer to home depot, I drive a little further to get to lowe's and in this case, i'm glad I did and I will continue to do so.

    Selection was nice & items were organized....staff however, My God!...whoever hires staff, need training. Bought two sets of washers and dryers, not cheap...and it was like pulling teeth to have someone help me load....and the manager w/this feminine energy kept avoiding to help and talking back at me like I'm a child....then the sumo wrestler, also manager, pointed to someone as well vs helping to announce Code 50...two guys came 7 minutes later....it's freezing outside.

    Lowe's always knows they sell pink buckets that way my husband can't take my pink bucket cuz I'll know they even sell pink women's tools I also saw a pink toolbox a big one I'm so excited
