  } Stay away from this warehouse. I strongly recommend thinking twice before doing business with them. If your payment is even slightly late, they immediately charge a 50% late fee and lock your warehouse. Imagine being just 2–3 days late one single time, and they still lock your storage and demand a 50% penalty. This kind of policy is completely unreasonable and predatory. Instead of working with their customers or showing any understanding, they jump straight to extreme penalties and lock access to your warehouse. This is not how a professional business should treat its customers. Very disappointing experience

  I decided to upgrade my storage unit to a larger unit and Laurie was so helpful with everything! She let me see the different ones on each floor and have my pick and answered all of my questions. She even let me borrow a lock just for the 24 hours so I could transfer all of my belongings. She was so warm and kind. Thank you, Laurie!

  Joan and Laurie are absolutely the best at Extra Space storage! They have taken such amazing care of us on River Road in EDGEWATER and always find us the best deal! They have helped us when we have had very little notice and needed extra storage. Trust them to find the best deal for you in the best facility!

  I cannot say enough amazing things about Extra Space Storage in Edgewater! Laurie and Joan truly go above and beyond every single time. From day one, they’ve been incredibly accommodating, professional, and genuinely kind. The facility is always spotless, well-organized, and feels very secure — which gives me such peace of mind. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in maintaining the space. If you’re looking for storage in Edgewater, this is hands down the best place. Laurie and Joan are the absolute best!

  I used this storage unit for over a year since I live nearby. Last week, I noticed that someone had broken into my unit and stolen over $10,000 worth of sneakers that I had been collecting for years. Since I didn’t have an insurance policy with them, they are not liable at all, and I am not receiving any compensation for the theft. I feel very violated. There are no cameras in the hallway. They only have cameras near the entrances and elevators, and that’s it. I heard that five other units were also robbed. The police are investigating, but so far there has been no luck recovering anything. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE INSURANCE and keep all your receipts!! Otherwise, it’s your loss even if you get ROBBED!!!!! ADDITION AND REPLY TO THE OWNER: Question 1: Why are there no cameras inside the building, such as on the second-floor hallway? This is such a huge property, and I can’t believe you only have cameras at the entrance of the building. It looks like the absolute bare minimum security. Question 2: If robbers can open units without breaking the lock, what makes you think they won’t do it again? It looks like they forced the door open and then closed it so no one could tell which unit had been broken into. This appears to be a highly organized theft. I also heard that the Union City property had 20+ units robbed. I heard this from someone who was actually robbed at the Union City location and moved to the Edgewater unit thinking it would be safer.
