Lowes points is nothing but smoke and mirrors and might I add that for the most part even though it's negotiable they charge for delivery and most of everything .Home Depot that you order even if it's small does not charge for delivery. Lowes is hoping when you check out you don't you'll miss that delivery fee so please keep track of any additional fees before you push to buy on the Internet an addition they're forcing you to self check out I always pay cash I don't care how much I hold up the line however for my military discount or anybody else that's a veteran take you or whatever you're buying go down by the lumber check out they'll put your stuff in manually you'll get your discount and you won't have to deal with self check out which I really don't understand why people like to work for nothing as the way I see it I used to love going into Lowe's now it's a chore if I have to. don't forget about ordering online so slow to get your stuff it's not worth it unless it's a really good price it seems that Lowes is trying to make up the bottom line any way they can and they'll probably use an AI to blow off the smoke to make it seem like any rating is trivial

Went for an item and came up a different price. When I questioned it the employee said its what they call a bait and switch. I refused to buy any of the items that I had.

The decline of physical shopping in action. I used to enjoy coming here. Admittedly that was a while ago at this point. Let me describe my latest visit. I enter the store and dodge a human pop up add at for a solar company. I look at the app to find the location of the one item I’m looking for to expedite my visit. I wander around and the items “location” turns out to be incorrect. I eventually find the section I need with the various different options. Most of them are locked up. There’s no way I’m tracking down an associate to open it. There’s a half a dozen options that aren’t locked up so I choose from them. I bring the item to the register. I’d like to use cash. Only one register accepts cash. The other is out of order. I wait in line. An older couple is checking out in front of me. The man gets frustrated with the self checkout process. He loudly complains and I feel sympathy for his frustration. He requires help from an associate. This takes a while. He finishes up and leaves. It is now my turn. I scan the item. The register asks for a roundup. I decline. It’s obnoxious that the system even tries to bilk me for more money for an already overpriced item that I have to ring up myself. Life is already expensive enough. I slide each cash bill in one at a time while thinking how nice it used to be when all I needed to do was hand a human money and they handed back change at a normal speed. Now this happens at a glacial pace. I finally get my receipt and I just can’t wait to leave at this point. Overall the experience just plain sucks. I’ll do everything in my power to order things I need online to avoid this mind numbing experience. If I’m on a job and something breaks and I absolutely cannot move forward without it then I’ll go in person and repeat this never ending cycle of frustration and disappointment. It’s a reminder of how good we used to have it and we didn’t realize it. Frankly it’s depressing.
