We had a lot to move and felt grateful and thankful for extra space storage to give us a really good deal. A month of us being there, my in-laws decided to switch their storage facility and move their stuff into extra space storage. Several months later, they received a letter stating their rent was going up dramatically. A week later we got the same letter. We both called and talked to someone and they were able to lower the increase a little. Several months have gone by, and now we both got letters stating that our rent was going up. We will be calling Monday to see if there is anything they can do. After doing a quick ChatGpt search, this is very normal in the storage unit industry. We have never had to use a storage unit before. I’m giving them 1 star because I can’t give 0 stars. But, with how clean the place is and the experience we did have when dealing with the employees there, I guess they deserve that 1 star.
