- MMMichelle Moody5 days ago2.0Moved in on a promo rate okay fine exactly 90 days later went from $84 to $164/184 negotiated down to $131 then not even 6 months later 28 days before rent is due again another increase to $232 just beware they are not a storage unit that locks in a price also had an issue with winter that the roof wasn’t cleared off in time and unit leaked on the first floor from the roof I had to uproot my life in 30 days so everything went into this unit thankfully my unit nothing was damaged but the increases are absurd. Apparently this isn’t uncommon nowadays with storage units. So all I can is read your ‘contract’ you sign. Aside from all this no issues with the unit or anything but would not rent from again just because not only the rent increases but that they double every time and there’s no sympathy when you are on a fixed income. Also no prorates moving in or out. Rent due 3rd moved out because of them 12th. Figured I’d might get a refund guess not. They asked me to do a survey I’m just being honest because I want people to know what they are signing up for. This was the storage down by Walmart on Lafayette road In Portsmouth nh. Definitely not a place to be doing long term storage with. Maybe short term would be okay but I did stress long term when I called and asked questions.
