We put our stuff in storage a tad over a year ago for a reasonable $150 a month and in the course of the next 12 months it went up in two steps to $350 a month! Even worse our storage area had a rip in the flimsy plastic roof that dripped dirty water on a couple of paintings. Their caring and helpful response was suggesting I claim it on my insurance. Warning: this racket is an extraordinary way to leverage more and more money from you. The one good thing was it helped us move quickly so we could deny them the pleasure of increasing the monthly fee again in a few months. Please take my advice: I wish I knew then what I know now. Extra Space should be ashamed of themselves but they won’t be. No conscience means making money for doing nothing comes guilt free.
