I don't feel it would be appropriate to give them a grade just yet, but this won't let me post without one, so I'm giving one star for now. Maybe it can raise stars if I can actually get them to finish the damn job. I thought I'd share my experience with this company now because I cannot stop thinking about them as I once again wear the last of my clean underwear.
My washing machine broke down on Jan. 4, and I put in the request for repair through the Whirlpool website. It said to expect someone between two and four the next day. Great. Then, no one showed up. I called this business the next day and was told that Whirlpool gives a time to be home for a tech to come out but doesn't arrange that in advance with the business, so they just ignore it and don't let you know they aren't coming yet. I fielded a couple calls from a tech with questions, and he finally came to repair it on Jan. 16. However, the issue was not one he anticipated, so he had to order another part and came back out again Feb. 5, one month after my washing machine broke down. On the second visit, he realized he had the wrong part and would have to re-order. Today is March 2nd and I still haven't heard back, despite me having called them week before last and was told they hoped to have someone arrive Thursday of that week. No one called or showed, so I figured maybe the part wasn't in yet. I called them yet again last week and still have not gotten a call back after the lady said she would call to schedule. Am I out of line to say that it's ridiculous that my washing machine (it was only 10 months old) is still broke down TWO MONTHS later? It seems ridiculously long to me. I will never buy another Whirlpool product, and I would rather not work with this company again in the future. I just want my damn washing machine working again so I don't have to keep traveling out of town to get to a laundromat just so I can wear some clean clothes! Anyway, that is my experience and you can judge for yourself what it says about All Appliance Service. The techs have been nice.

Wouldn't recommend. Told them the first time the dryer was a stacked unit and in a small area, they said they would relay that info to the tech. He showed up had no idea so I had to help. Sliced my hand open. Problem didn't get fixed so I called and scheduled another appt and now they said they'll have to charge me to MOVE the unit so they can work on it because it's not their job to move appliances it's just their job to work on them. Laughable. Very poor customer service. If you want a job don't correctly and the first time I'd suggest going with another company.

I love being able to trust one company for all my appliance needs. Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Furnace, Air-Conditioner, washer and dryer. Reasonable priced and they guarantee their work. Wouldn’t ever use anyone else!

Ben came out and serviced my refrigerator and showed exemplary care and consideration while defrosting the freezer coil where other service companies had failed to avoid making a mess. He confirmed to be skilled and knowledgeable about the systems and technology by conversation as he serviced the unit. Definitely a valuable technician.
Frequently Asked Questions About All Appliance Service
Are all your technicians licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes, all of our technicians are fully licensed, bonded, and insured for your peace of mind and protection.
Is your trip charge included if I authorize the repair?
Yes, the trip charge is incorporated into the overall repair cost as part of the itemized labor. This charge covers our initial visit, any subsequent trips, and the time spent diagnosing your appliance issue. Our labor rates are standardized and guided by the specific appliance type. You'll only pay this charge once, and we don't hide it in other costs like some companies might.
Is my appliance worth repairing?
Generally, repairing an appliance is more cost-effective and environmentally friendly than replacing it. We're committed to providing honest assessments, prioritizing repairs when feasible, but recommending replacement if it's truly in your best interest. It's worth noting that older appliances often have longer lifespans post-repair compared to newer models.
How much will it cost to recharge my refrigerator with Freon?
Refrigerators don't consume refrigerant like cars use oil. If your refrigerator is low on refrigerant, it indicates a leak. Adding more refrigerant isn't a solution and is actually illegal due to environmental concerns. Leaks can lead to system contamination and compressor damage. If your refrigerator isn't cooling properly, the issue likely isn't related to refrigerant levels.
How much will it cost?
We can only provide an accurate repair quote after our technician has inspected and diagnosed your appliance in person. The only cost we can confirm beforehand is our one-time trip and diagnostic fee. If you know the specific part needed, we can quote its price and ensure our technician brings it. Our labor charges are based on a standardized national price guide, which we'll share with you for approval before starting any work.
My washer (or dryer) shakes a lot, and I'm worried it's going to shake away from the wall or cause damage to the floor. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Excessive shaking in washers, especially high-efficiency models, is often caused by detergent and dirt buildup. This occurs because HE washers use less water, making it harder to clean the tub thoroughly. We recommend using Affresh washer cleaning tablets, which are specifically designed to break down this residue and clean your washer effectively.
What are safety must-haves in your home and are they important?
Safety is paramount in any home. Essential safety items include fire extinguishers, gas appliance shut-off valves, up-to-date gas connectors, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. We recommend professional inspection of gas connectors, keeping a fire extinguisher in the kitchen, installing independent shut-off valves for each gas appliance, and regularly maintaining smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Should I repair or replace my malfunctioning appliance?
The decision to repair or replace depends on various factors. Older appliances often have better longevity, even after repairs, compared to newer models. We recommend getting a repair estimate before considering replacement. A general guideline is to opt for replacement if the repair cost exceeds 35% of the total replacement cost, including purchase, tax, delivery, and old appliance removal.
The spring broke on my oven door. Do I have to get it repaired right away?
A broken oven door is a serious safety concern that requires immediate attention. Unlike furnaces, ovens aren't connected to external venting systems. A faulty door can prevent proper temperature regulation, leading to continuous combustion and potentially dangerous carbon monoxide production. While it may seem minor, a broken oven door poses significant risks and should be repaired promptly.
Is it really important to clean the condenser on my refrigerator?
Cleaning your refrigerator's condenser is crucial. Most manufacturers recommend annual cleaning, as outlined in the owner's manual. Regular condenser maintenance helps conserve energy, reduces health concerns, and extends your refrigerator's lifespan and efficiency. We offer a scheduled service program for our customers to ensure this important maintenance task is performed regularly.
