Beware of this store. They will take regular items that they can disguise into the holiday section. Trick you into believing those items are on sell when they do their holiday season discounts. Then charge you full price without you realizing it. When they get caught they refuse to fix the issue or allow you to return the items. I’ve been going to Hobby Lobby stores for 15+ and I have never once been treated so terribly. Employees at the Bismark store is going to cause hobby lobby to lose a lot of customers. In today’s economy not everyone has extra cash and when you’re purchasing items that our for your business every cent has a purpose. People deserve honesty not tricks to steal them out of their money. Places like this that are supposed to be Christian base companies give Christians a bad name. Do better and whoever is incharge of that store needs to clean house and not let just anyone work there. Especially dumb kids that have absolutely no respect for anyone.

I don't hardly EVER write negative reviews. I'm actually a very happy person and try to show kindness where I can. But I'm just wondering if customer service has completely gone out the window these days!?! I've worked in the sales, service, and Human Resources fields for a very long time, and I'm a business owner currently so I know how customers/clients like and expect to be treated. And I most definitely deliver the customer service I'd want! I go to Hobby Lobby whenever I get the chance to, I love the store! I bought most of my wedding decorations and dried flowers from here just two years ago. I buy most all my client gift baskets that I put together from here. Over the years, I've probably spent thousands amd thousands of dollars here. Well, my husband and I traveled out of town this weekend and I wanted to stop at Hobby Lobby on the way back through so I could buy items to put together another client gift basket for their upcoming Closing this week. Anyway, while shopping and looking around, I found the cutest retro fans (colors were a teel and soft pink). I was looking for a tag that told me the price and I was trying to find out if it was part of their Spring items because all Spring items were 40% off! A woman who clearly worked at the store walked up to me and asked if I needed help looking for something (this lady was very nice, although I didn't catch her name unfortunately). I told her what I was looking for and she said that is was part of the Spring collection so I should definitely get it for 40% off, so I grabbed it and thanked her. Said fans were also located at the section that has the clearance items, across from most of the garden and holiday items, on one of the aisle ends. When checking out, I was wrung up for full price for that specific item. I asked the gal ringing up my items about it, then told her what the other Hobby Lobby employee had told me, so she called a different employee over to ask about it. The woman was older and nice enough. I'm not sure of her name, but it happened this evening (1/5/2026). I then told her the same story again and all she could say to me was that she was sorry, but that other employee was wrong and should have never told me that. I felt completely dismissed...and it wasn't even for the sake of my word, it was what another Hobby Lobby EMPLOYEE told me! I don't know about any of you, but I was raised in a time where the general belief among the majority was that if a customer was told by an employee or if the customer could show where a price had been advertised as something different, then that price should be honored. I mean I'm talking like a whole whopping difference of like $17, which doesn't probably sound like much to many of you, and really, It wasn't to me. But it's the fact of the matter, and both of these ladies could see how full my cart was...it's not like it would have killed them to honor the price THEIR employee told me! So I left the fan, that's how baffled I was. I felt like I was just told "tough luck, it's not my problem, good luck next time!." Like, what!? Thank goodness a new Hobby Lobby was just opened closer to where I live, which I definitely could have chosen to go to, but I've been a loyal customer here for years!! I'm just really disappointed these days with the LACK of good service there is.
