Stop by Lowe's this morning to purchase a grill. None outside got our attention. So, we strolled inside to see if they had something there. As we walked around the displays one really caught my girlfriends eye. It was what she was looking for. As we were checking it out gentleman in a red vest was walking down the main aisle doing something else. My girlfriend got his attention and the young man can right over to assist us. We had a few questions about the product and he was more than happy to help. His name was Mason I believe. Anyway he helped us without regrets. We asked if he would sell us the display. He said yes. We proceeded to the service center to pay for the grill. Mason and the lady behind the counter were very nice and polite. We asked about some assistance in getting it loaded. They both responded with sure , they name the individual that was out in the parking lot collecting shopping carts. We said great, paid and went on our way. We get outside saw the young man, got his attention. He throw up his hand with a finger up letting us know he would be a minute. Which was fine. We understood that he was busy. We're in no rush. The problem starts when he comes over and trys to force the grill into the back of my SUV, the girlfriend was at the top end of the grill trying to hold the lid and the lid to the side burner I was holding the bottom and the Lowe's employee was at the back trying to force the grill in. Mean while a tray was walking out he back and being metal was catching on the bumper and the carpet. My girlfriend told the employee to stop it was stuck he continues to push, the he opens his mouth and starts complaining about how he gets paid $16.00 an hour to collect carts and doing this kind of work (assisting customers) is not his job. We got it in there finally, got in the vehicle and was about to leave, when the girlfriend happened to see this employee at the door with another red vested employee pointing his finger at us. The girlfriend friend got out of the vehicle and proceeded to where they where standing. The young man was telling his boss that my girlfriend was disrespecting him and a few words where exchanged. He( the young man) was told to go back inside. The red vest guy came to our vehicle and checked out the grill and to see if there was any damage to the car. That was it. So after all this not even an apology was offer to my girlfriend nor I. If this is how customers at Lowe's in Whiteville are treated !!!!! We will be taking our money else to spend.!!!! Thought whoever reads this should know how Lowe's employees treat their customers....piss poor in my opinion.... Thought you should know. Highly, and VERY disappointed.....
