  Extra Space storage in Waxhaw was more than helpful. I worked personally with David, the store manager on site to rent my unit. Their customer service was exceptional, and their units are clean and brand new. Highly recommend this space that is new here in Waxhaw!

  If your unit is on the first floor, It's probably a pretty good experience. But if your unit is on the second floor, just go somewhere else. It's absolutely ridiculous. There are two ways to get upstairs: Elevators, and stairs. The elevators are passenger elevators, aka, not meant for freight. They're only big enough to get two of the provided carts inside of, and you definitely will not be able to get any larger bulk items into the elevators. For a storage place that has large upper units, It basically means you can only move boxes up. Then when you actually use the elevators, the doors automatically close every 3 seconds, and the elevator will reset by itself back down to the first floor after the doors close. If you try to prop the doors open for too long, it will literally just close on the object. The stairwell doors are locked so you can't access either floor from the stairwell - so you can't transport things via the stairs. The parking on all three usable sides of the building is very tight and the corners are also very tight. You would not be able to get a longer U-Haul back here. Because the width of the parking lot is also only about two U-Hauls wide, when there are multiple people unloading or loading from the building, It makes the space very impractical. All in all, It seems this building was not very well thought out for its use cases.

  David was awesome! The entire process was super smooth from start to finish. The storage unit was very clean, and the location is extremely convenient. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

  This is a new Company that moved into our area. The facility is clean and easily accessible and offers very reasonable pricing. And more importantly, the Customer Service is beyond excellent!! I highly recommend them!

  I can't say enough good things about this new storage facility, Extra Space Storage, that opened in Waxhaw. I am currently with Public Storage and will be flying out of there as fast as I can into my new storage space at Extra Space. The manager, David, has been amazing at keeping in communication with me about the opening date. I probably drove him crazy with my emails and calls so I could get out of my jacked up $440 rate at Public Storage. My new space is costing me about a third of that. I love that I got a "Sr" Discount of 5% and because this is for my business I was able to prepay up to two years to lock in my rate. Being brand new the space is very clean. It will be great to have the property management team on site during working hours during the week and on Saturdays. I didn't like going in alone to a non-manned facility as I did at my last place. Kristen that also works in the office was super nice and helpful too. I already referred a friend over here, leaving the same place I did. If you need a new storage facility, I think you will be really happy with this one! Happy storing!!
