    Purchased a Maytag washer from Lowes, one because delivery date quick and two because always seen Lowes using own people for delivery, not a subcontractor. I was wrong on the second point, and found out hard way why third party hit or miss. In this case, HUGE MISS. When two guys arrived you could tell their main care, how fast they could get old washer out, new washer in as opposed to doing it right the first time. I wanted to zip tie the hoses together before install but two guys wanted no part of allowing that to happen. So, they jammed the new braided hoses in behind washer still partially curled up to connect them as fast as they could. Turned on water to show no leaks. Then run a test spin. Turns out after they left, I noticed they had reversed to hot and cold water lines. UGH! They had another delivery close, phoned and they came back. It was crazy watching them try to correct their error, with washer partly full, tilted forward and do it as fast as they possible. Had a real problem threading the quality brass elbow connectors back on the machine. No idea why they had to remove them at all. I hope they didn't cross thread the nylon washer threads. They don't seem to leak, 'for now'. Then to add insult to injury, today we found that our HOA cast metal mail box post had a vertical crack down the post, wrapped with 'clear packing tape' to hold it together. Box right where their truck parked, both times. Called Lowes and of course they passed the buck to third party who said without video evidence or eye witness, pound sand. Unfortunately, we have neither. And mail box a very expensive one. Two stars because of the subcontractor deliver/install fiasco and significant added cost. Ultimately though as Lowes name on the store, it's on them. Will think very hard before another Lowes major purchase. Buyer beware.

    I had 41 pieces of vinyl siding products: siding, soffit material and J- Channel. All but three pieces were damaged prior to or during delivery. There were pieces that had tire marks on them. Some were damaged because of how they were packaged. They were secured with banding straps that crushed the edges of the siding. I would guess that some of the damaged pieces were picked and packaged at the store. I called the store and spoke with a manager. All that was said was they were sorry and they would come out in two days to pickup the damaged materials. This puts me behind on my project because some workers couldn’t take the time to package the material without damaging it. I canceled the order and will purchase these supplies somewhere else.
