    DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! CALL WEBB & ASSOCIATES FOR YOUR FIRE EXTINGGUISHER NEEDS IN THE Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill AREA! If I could give PYE BARKER a ZERO I would. In 2021 (five years ago), I had just bought a framing shop in Chapel Hill, and I had another fire extinguisher company I had used in the past with great success, Webb & Associates, put in new extinguishers because the ones in this new store were about to expire. The ones that were going to expire that week were from Pye Barker. So then the next week while I was not there, Pye Barker shows up and takes out our totally new extinguishers from Webb and Associates and puts their tags on them. They did this without even LOOKING to see if they were new, and we DID NOT have a contract with Pye Barker. They should have called me. I then got a notice that I owed them $449 for this corrupt practice. I have been fighting them very kindly I might say on this for 5 YEARS. I now am getting calls from a collection agency. I asked Ivette Vega the Collections Representative from Pye Barker to please take this all in to consideration but she said I owe the money. This is ridiculous. I am going to pay this off so I can get them out of my life (they should have never BEEN in my life honestly!). PLEASE DO NOT USE PYE BARKER. They are crooks with terrible incompetant people working for them.

    Tested and swapped out the fire extinguishers we needed. They were able to recycle a couple old ones. Helpful and efficient.

    We've been a customer of Pye Barker and this location specifically for nearly 15+ years. They've annually come out to replace our fire extinguishers, conduct smoke tests, and replace our chemical tank for the hood system. It disappoints me to have to report that they've got a service manager who doesn't take misinformation seriously and left us in a compromised position with the property management and landlord of our retail space. We called Pye Barker for service to examine a smoke detector in our HVAC system about 2 weeks ago. Pye Barker responded quickly and sent technician(s) to our site. We didn't hear back on how the service went and if the issue was resolved so I called in to speak with the service manager to get the updates. The service manager specifically told me the issue was "inadequate power and the technicians resolved the problem". I further asked if they went into the riser room to clear the main panel alerts as instructed and the service manager responded "yes" with no hesitation. I found this quite surprising since the technicians were not given the access code for the riser room. I asked for confirmation of this from the manager and explain my doubts and they confirmed they would contact the technician and get back to me. This loop was never closed and I have checked all voicemails and call history to verify no voicemail was ever left. We relayed this "resolved" situation to the property management and landlord indicating the issue had been resolved. Two weeks later, we've received a call from property management again indicating that the main fire panel still reports our detectors are misfiring and their onsite attempts to reset the panel show the detector remaings in a malfunctioned state. This has put us in jeopardy with them and we face serious repercussions. I called at least 4 times today to get ahold of the service manager who clearly didn't take misinformation seriously. I confront them on the misinformation and they claim to have left me a voicemail. No such evidence of that voicemail existed and presumably since the service call was just before the July 4th, holiday it's likely they forgot and left us with the misinformation the issue was resolved. As a fire and safety company, I am appalled a service manager does not take misinformation seriously. The service staff today confirmed the notes from the technician clearly state they were not able to address the issue and that it had to be fixed by HVAC. The fact the service manager indicated the issue was "fixed" and without hesitation meant they did not respond with any verification and in the absence of even reading the deliberate notes on the account from the technician, abdicated their responsibility to respond with integrity and gave us an assumptive answer. This is wholly unacceptable for a company who markets themselves as a fire and safety company, holding poor standards for honestly and communication. FYI for anyone looking to call them out. The service call is 500+ dollars minimum. We will honor your absorbent fees but we find your lack of integrity distasteful. We will be departing from you after nearly 15+ years of service which your service manager today claims you've never worked on our system before.

    I have never written an on-line review before but this company frustrates me beyond belief. They show up and perform services without approval from the owner then expect payment with no ability for recourse. I have called multiple times to flag our account for pre-approval but to no avail. I would recommend you never invite them to your business location to perform services or you may find yourself in the same position.
