- WSWilma SladeOct 21, 20253.0Had dinner at RH Rooftop in New York with friends visiting from Australia. Decided to take them to the Raleigh RH the following week. Food was good at both but there were two hostesses at the RH Raleigh location. One greeted us warmly and asked the name for the reservation. The other never looked up from her laptop, but interrupted the conversation to ask my name. Although I had already given it to the hostess standing right next to her, she still asked again without making eye contact or providing any greeting. She immediately repeated a man's name. Had she greeted us and took a minute to look at us she would have known I was a lady. When I corrected her she finally looked at me and her facial expression was beyond welcoming. She took over the check-in. We were about 20 minutes early so when I asked her if we could be seated early her facial expressions went from bad to worst. She was chewing gum and very argumentative. Things went from bad to worst and she continued frowning, so much so I asked for a manager. The manager promptly got everything back on track and took great care of me and my friends. We had a good dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere at the Raleigh location as much as we did at the New York RH Rooftop once we were seated. But the hostess is your first contact and I would not want to encounter that individual again. Although I live in the Raleigh area it's unlikely I will return.

The food was fab and needed no seasoning! Everything was so throughly flavored and cooked to perfection. The service was absolutely amazing and they brought out a complimentary dessert for the table to share for my grandmother’s birthday. Experience was 1000/10!
