Done a lot of business at this Store through the years.Went to the Lumber Area to inquire about a Lumber Package they had outside.The Young Lady I asked at the Counter seemed stunned and confused by My Question.After a moment of silence She finally replied I have no idea about it.I asked does anyone know.She replied a Manager would be there momentarily.I waited a few minutes and no one came the Young Lady seemed very uninterested so I left.Guess I will be buying My Lumber somewhere else😳

Pretty scammy garden center. If you don’t pay attention, they will sneakily charge full prices against plants on clearance. The first time it happened with us, I thought it was an error of oversight. But, it has happened many times with us since then. Double check your invoice. All the time.

Contractor here working in the Charlotte/Monroe area. I needed a 1/4” sheet of plywood cut into four pieces to fit into my vehicle — two simple cuts. The associate at the saw was professional and ready to do it.
A supervisor (name tag looked like “Snyder,” had a “Y” in the middle) stepped in and said, “I’ve just repaired that saw — you can only do one cut per ply.” The reasoning was that too much use causes the saw to break.
Limiting customers to one cut defeats the purpose of offering a cutting service. Two standard cuts on 1/4” plywood is not excessive.
I mainly shop at Home Depot for their contractor program and consistency. I only go to Lowe’s if it saves me at least 40 minutes round trip or for exclusive products like GoBoard. Even so, I spent about $11,500 at Lowe’s in 2025. After this experience, I left and bought the additional tools and consumables I needed at Harbor Freight nearby.
Based on other reviews, this feels like a management issue — the associate was willing to help, but supervision stopped it.
Contractors value efficiency. This wasn’t it.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped.
