- BBBill BurnsFeb 25, 20261.0What a disappointment Lowes Home Improvement installation services turned into. I purchased a new Kohler chair height toilet with installation on 3/11/24. (Toilet $179 Install $198.05) Within a month I began to see buckling in my wooden floor under the adjoining sink. I thought the sink had started a leak so began a journey of unsuccessful plumber inspections and diagnosis. Estimates ranged from $500 to over $2,000. We had a retired plumbing business owner install a sink faucet in the mudroom so when his completed the faucet installation we showed him the toilet and floor damage in the half bath. He rocked it so we asked him if he could fix it. The flange had cracked and was leaking water with each flush which ran along along the wall under the floor to the corner by the sink. He replaced the cracked flange and reset the toilet ($757.93). I will never use Lowes for any future installations. My recommendation, buy what you need but find a reputable tradesman on your own. I had other installations fail, or required a followup visit which Lowes fought against me every time. I wish I had listened to my friends when they told me STAY AWAY FROM LOWES. As you can see Lowes posted a comment on my review. Standard BS, which is what I expected. I called the number and the person that answered didn't know what to do. She put me on hold then came back, asked me for my phone number, then said she was transferring me to their installation staff. After 10 minutes on hold I hung up. My purpose for writing this review is to provide insight to prospective to buyers that are looking to have the Mebane Lowes install an item. I should have written a review about their installation of my washer and dryer a few years ago. What a nightmare. I do not want anything from Lowes. If I need a part quickly, and it's on the shelf, I'll buy it from Lowes but never have them do an installation for me.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
