I had an unopened factory sealed plastic box of wood screws Worth $6 that I tried to return today. I was told that I could not return them. I spoke with the manager, Gio, who could’ve cared less. I had been forced to vacate my house for over four weeks due to mold remediation, so I was not able to get back inside the house to retrieve the screws and told them that. I was five days past the return date and Lowe’s would not take them back. I had some shopping to do for home improvement items, and instead, I went to my new home improvement store, Home Depot. Lowe's has lost a 30 year Customer who never used to go anywhere but Lowe’s because it’s a North Carolina store. Oh well,

My fiance and I needed to go to Lowe's for a few items and we got everything that we needed/wanted while we were there on our own! But when we walked u to the self checkout an employee walked over to us and asked if we needed his help!! I thought that when people chose to use the self checkout option they're totally capable of checking their items out on their own and most likely don't want or need an employee to help them!! I know that i definitely didn't need an employee's help with checking all our items out and my fiance and I didn't need the assistance of any employee checking out the things we needed!!
So just for a bit of a pointer to Lowe's employees walking up to a customer and asking them if they need help through the self checkout register they shouldn't make the customer if they needed or wanted any help checking items out!! I believe that grown adults most of the time aren't looking to steal from any sort of store especially once they scanned all the items in the cart and actually purchased everything that had been scanned while he stood there and watched the both of us the entire time while in Lowe's!! Employee's definitely shouldn't make their customers feel like they're totally incapable of using the self checkout register nor did either of us ask anyone for their help during that time!! And Lowe's employees shouldn't make their customers feel like they decided to watch us the entire time like the two of us were nothing but a bunch of thieves!! Lowe's corporate office should probably train their employees better and not profile their customers and only assume the worst from everyone that walks into their store!!
I would think if we wanted someone to help us checkout all our items then I would've gone to a register with an employee that was actually standing behind the register!! I guess it's true that common sense is definitely not common anymore in this world!!! Will NOT ABE GOING BACK TO THE LOWE'S THAT WE WERE JUST AT!!

After having a issue with a young man named Kevin at Lowe’s in Matthews.. I received a phone call from a lady named Pat, who wanted to make things right. She referred me to Tiffany on the day I could come back, since she would be off. I was then assisted by her and another manager named Phil who was as sweet as Apple pie and funny too! And another very knowledgeable lady named Mable! I’m really glad I got to meet these lovely people because after my first impression that Kevin offered, I vowed to never shop at Lowe’s again! But these wonderful people who truly cared about this nobody consumer went above and beyond to help,and truly changed my opinion! Truth remains one bad Apple can ruin things, but I’m glad I got to see different that day. Thank you again guys for all of your kindness and help. I know it was a not fun dealing with this situation that became such a problem! You guys are wonderful and Ms. Pat thank you again for even reaching out to me, I thought there was no hope in resolving this issue! But you and your team proved otherwise! As for Kevin please be more like your team members in the future! You could learn a lot from those wonderful people! Really!
