It pains me to write this, but it is what it is...
Lowe's used to be my go to place for home and home improvement supplies. But in the last few years it has gotten to the point I only go if I have no other choice.
They have gone to self service check out's with no other option most of the time. They seem to have really good employees, when you can find one, which isn't a slam on them, the store just seems constantly understaffed.
I prefer to do business with small businesses, always have. Between the big box home improvement stores I'll take Home Depot over Lowe's these days, even if it means going out of my way to do so.
