Thrilled with how our countertops and backsplash turned out! Veronica was such a pleasure to work with. She was not pushy and offered assistance when asked. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Rachel did a fantastic job on our project. I’m never good with picking out colors for new paint or new flooring or any home improvement project. Rachel heard my concern, and rather than showing me dozens of different options they had in stock, she pre-chose three selections for me to choose from. It took all the stress out of the process. The team did a great job with measurements and cutting and installation, and I always recommend her to anyone who’s doing a kitchen project

Rachel was invaluable to the process of having granite chosen and installed for our kitchen and baths. From product knowledge, cost comparison, communication, scheduling, installation and everything in between she made the process easy. Highly recommend Rachel and her team.

My five star review is based in part on the fact that California Granite came to our rescue on our minor kitchen reno. We had sifted through three disappointing vendors, and these guys were everything the others were not: friendly, fast, competent and responsive. We wanted installation of new quartz countertops and tile backsplash. Their approach relies on the homeowner to do a lot more work pre- and post- reno (examples: you have to hire your own plumbers and electricians), but they do what they say they're going to do when they say they're going to do it! They are exceptional in their customer support skills - always available by phone or text. They arrive on time. Courtney particularly deserves much praise: she was courteous, knowledgeable and responsive to my many inquiries and requests. We had lost hope that we were going to get this job done before the end of the year, but now we will celebrate Thanksgiving in our new kitchen! Only real downside was that the tile installer left a good bit of grout on the tile, and I was surprised that we were expected to clean it up ourselves. Maybe that was because the tile guy finished late Friday evening, but I'd recommend checking on that before signing up. Overall, we are very happy with California Granite, and especially Courtney.

Frequently Asked Questions About California Granite & Flooring

What is the difference between quartz, granite, and marble?

Granite, marble, and quartz are popular countertop materials, each with unique characteristics. Granite, a natural stone, is known for its durability and resistance to stains and scratches. Marble, also natural, offers distinctive patterns but is more susceptible to staining and scratching due to its porous nature. Quartz, a manufactured stone composed of 92% quartz and 8% resin, provides diverse color options and designs. It's the least porous, offering high resistance to stains and scratches, and requires minimal maintenance. Our team can assist you in selecting the most suitable countertop material for your property.

How do I clean and care for my granite countertops?

For daily cleaning of granite countertops, use a mixture of mild soap and warm water, followed by rinsing with clean water and drying with a soft cloth. If you prefer a commercial cleaner, we recommend 409 Stone Cleaner. Be careful not to use excessive soap or cleaner to avoid streaks or residue. Avoid acidic cleaners, such as bathroom or tub cleaners. To prevent staining, apply a sealer annually for granite and twice a year for marble. While we seal our stones during installation, we suggest sealing heavily used countertops twice a year, regardless of stone type. Contact our team for sealing services or additional information on stone maintenance.
