I visited this Lowe’s recently because I needed a few items to fix some tiling at my workplace. Unfortunately, the experience was pretty disappointing.
Despite plenty of employees around, I got zero help. I ended up grabbing a bucket for grout and headed to self-checkout since no other lanes were open. That’s where things went downhill. The associate at self-checkout seemed to single me out, asking to look through my bags and bucket, which made me uncomfortable. She wasn’t doing this to anyone else around me.
When I scanned everything, she claimed I hadn’t paid for the buckets only the lids. I genuinely thought the lid and buckets were one item since they were secured on the buckets and no sign indicated otherwise. I paid for the buckets as soon as I realized, but when I asked to return the lids I didn’t need, she told me to go to the front desk instead of just handling it there.
Overall, I felt pretty targeted and definitely not treated like other customers. It was an uncomfortable and frustrating trip. I hope Lowe’s can do better on customer service and consistency.
