But a few months into having the unit, the facility unexpectedly doubled my monthly payment without providing me the 30-days notice as required by the contract. From my conversations with management, it was clear the facility frequently bumps up people's payments without telling them and then claims they can do so pursuant to the contract (which is not the case, 30-day notice is required). They also told me they could not issue a refund (which did not make sense) and could only only discounts moving forward. After several weeks of calling and escalating the issue, I got a full refund. If you use this facility, keep a close eye on your monthly payments and do not allow them to increase your payments without sending you 30-days notice through the mail or over email. And when they try to increase the payment, I recommend calling and asking them to honor the price in your initial contract.
