Though they did double the price after 4 months which seems to be standard practice. Which is incredibly annoying but still competitive. Upon cancelling and moving out I was told a staff member would confirm the unit was empty and close my account. I moved out 8 days ago, completed all the steps, and even called this location to let them know I had emptied out my unit. They said I was good to go and to turn off autopay. However, I never received the email confirmation that my account was closed out. I’m still getting payment reminders and my “overdue payment” is still showing on my account. When all the documentation online when moving out says you will get confirmation of move out and a closed account, and that doesn’t happen, it is frustrating. I wanted to be fully moved out and not thinking about it at all, yet I am still getting payment reminders and they have not closed my account. I have documented everything with pictures from the day of moving showing a clean unit and have documented with corporate customer support to protect myself. Lack of attentive staff during move out will make me think twice before renting a unit from extra space next time I need a storage unit

But the prices are a little better here than in similar facilities I’ve rented, and more importantly I feel like I’m getting what I pay for. It’s very well maintained, they are constantly cleaning, and they really keep the temperature regulated. I’m on the third floor, and it was never hot up there during the summer. The office staff are friendly and helpful, and they have plenty of flatbed carts, unlike the last place I rented off of Hillsborough Road where they had two for the entire building and the amount of constant traffic in and out of that place was ridiculous. This facility may be a little off the beaten path, but I consider that an asset. You won’t be constantly competing for parking space, elevators and carts.
