If there was a 0 stars option... Like many commenters, I am extremely disappointed at the lack of response from Lowe's when their delivery drivers turned on water in my newly remodeled basement. They were installing the washer and dryer we had purchased from the Clinton Utah Lowe's. They arrived in, and this is important, a Lowe's delivery truck, with the Lowe's logo covering the sides and the back. So there is no doubt regarding upon who's behalf they were delivering. For some unknown reason, they turn on the water faucet that connects to the washing machine before the washer had been connected to it! ???. It soaked our brand new laminate flooring. We took pictures while the delivery guy, who had turned the water on, tried to block us from seeing what they were doing with towels and a mop. When my wife worked her way past them with a towel, she put pressure on the laminate planks, water pushed up between the seams. It had definitely gone under the flooring and into the padding. When we called the manager at the Clinton Lowe's, he told us we should get a flood damage company over right away to get it cleaned up. Upon his advise, we did. They tore up the flooring and the padding beneath it (it was less than a week old), they set up dehumidifiers and drying fans. Note: The delivery workers, who spoke essentially no English, were already angry with us because we needed the refrigerator door to swing opposite from how it was from the factory and it was there job to make the change. Additionally, it was 6 PM, they had already done 11 deliveries that day, and had 5 more after us! We contacted Lowes again the next day, we were told a manager would return our call, he did, however he told it that we needed to contact the delivery company with whom they contract. He gave us the number, we called. There was one person there who spoke broken English at best, we do not speak Spanish, he made a few excuses, and then told us the the lines in our home... the brand new lines we had just installed were old and corroded and it was our fault, SERIOUSLY?!?! We asked to speak with his manager, turns out the delivery company is owned by a huge corporate giant called Maersk, yes, that Maersk. They sent us back to Lowe's, who were, and still are, overall unresponsive. We were told where to send the invoice from the flood damage company, and then, when we followed up, were told that they would not pay. We have reached out to the Lowe's manager multiple times, but now he is ignoring us. We had to pay the disaster response company and for the flooring to be replaced. No one will respond to us. Are we surprised that Lowe's does not give a care about people whose money they have already received? No. Are we disappointed, maybe a little angry? Yes. Do we have any hope of recovering any of the money Lowe's delivery agents did to our new floor? Not much. Especially after reading Lowe's employees comments on other forums where they say doing nothing, passing the information around and pointing fingers at someone else is just how they do it at Lowe's. To the point that the angry employees who take the phone calls from people like me, looking for some customer service, are calling customers like me names, awful names, for expecting a different customer service outcome from a corporate giant like Lowe's. And it is not just one or two Lowe's employees, it is dozens and dozens of them, piling on to say that they are not in the business of giving customer service after the sale and that they are told to refer us to the corporate customer service center toll free number. Which is a completely separate call center company, contracted to take the Lowe's CS calls, and then refer the customer back to the store manager. Yup, the same guy who has been ignoring us for weeks, and now months. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWE'S THAT MIGHT REQUIRE ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE TO BACK IT UP. If it is damaged and can be returned, they do that with little problem. Anything beyond that and they are not going to help you. It's not corporate policy.

I would like to give appreciation to what I consider the best Lowes employee that I have ever delt with, his name is Larry Stricklan. He took his time listening to what we wanted, didn't try to push something more expensive like alot do.And when he found out that I had a injury to my hip, he wouldn't let us load the purchase It seems really good to deal with a kind person that obviously loves his job and his customers .Lowes promote this guy ! , thank you Larry ! Worst store I have ever been in. It's nearly impossible to find someone to help you with anything within the store and God forbid there's a price discrepancy because they'll argue with you until they're blue in the face that you're the one wrong and they're right even though you have proof right there in front of you including a barcode as clear as day. Laura is the most rude manager I've ever seen in any store. She has no business in customer service and neither does the manager Steve. I am a regular customer there as I'm constantly making improvements on my home, but I would rather travel to Fayetteville or Wilmington and go to those stores and use up my gas than go into this store. I am going to make sure that all of my family and friends know about my experience in this store so we do not patronize this establishment.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. I drove from Wilson to get a storage organizer for my frying pans and the box on the shelf was very damaged. I asked if I could get one that was new and undamaged, they said yes and got me the new one.
