- LFLynn FJan 2, 20261.0I have rented with Extra Space Storage for three years. My monthly rate began at $92 and has increased to $142 (a 54.35% increase). I received a notice that my rate would increase to $202 per month — a 119.57% increase from my original rate. I attempted to contact the facility multiple times over the two weeks before the increase took effect, leaving messages and trying to return calls, but was unable to reach management during business hours. When the increase went into effect, $80 was withdrawn from my checking account without my authorization, reflecting the new rate. When I disputed the charge and requested a refund, managers Lynn Blevins and Dean Henderson refused to refund the $80 and stated that moving forward I would be required to pay the full increased amount, with no further discussion. This interaction reflects a company culture in which unilateral price increases and automatic withdrawals are enforced without meaningful opportunity for resolution, transparency, or accountability. Customers should be aware of how pricing disputes are handled at this location.

We have had the rental unit a little over a year, and we just got (randomly) charged double our typical rate. This company is bait and switch. DO NOT USE THEM - especially if you will have limited access to the unit. For us, we now have to fly back and remove our items - I refuse to pay a company that engages with customers in this way. Complete scam - i hope karma finds them .
