- MDMichael DierkesSep 30, 20251.0I had used Calico about ten years ago to reupholster a sofa and the customer service was very good as was the work. Over two months ago, I had an ottoman that needed reupholster. I chose a fabric and dropped the furniture off at Calico. I received one call from Calico stating that the fabric had not been delivered a week later. I said that was fine, and please keep me updated on the progress. I never heard from Calico again. I called repeatedly in the last three weeks and each time the word was that they needed to contact the upholsterer and they would get back to me. A week would pass and then I would call again and get the same reply. Last week I called and the designer from Calico said she’d call me back within an hour after my call with the status. I never heard from her. Today I called again and the individual I spoke to said that the person I spoke to last week had let me know that it would be ready this Friday. I told her no one from Calico had contacted me and informed me of a delivery date. I told her that their customer service was horrible, because it is. I do not know what changed from the first time I contracted work with Calico until this time, but clearly this firm has lost their way, and has lost me as a customer moving forward. It’s so disappointing to see a formerly excellent company become a company that no longer values their customers.
