- MSMartin SchlesingerMay 22, 20252.0I went to the Minute Key garner location first. Got two keys made. Neither of them worked on the door I needed. Called Minute Key, they gave me code for 2 free keys. Went to the Cary location, hoping this machine would do a better job. It only cut 1 out of the 2 correctly. Thankfully I got aluminum keys, so I was able to use a file to shape the one key to the correct shape. This was a ridiculous run-around. Not impressed with Minute Key.

All three had metal shards on one side of the key cutting face. For the price of the key, I would expect the machine to be better at removing the metal cutting. If not removed and they got stuck in the key hole, it would likely jam the lock and not work.
