We were attempting to find 4 chair castors and fittings. We looked but had no luck in finding the appropriate and common pieces at Lowe’s Hardware. We finally flagged down an associate, but he could not find them either, even though I showed him a picture. He flagged down another associate - one who was older with a lot of badges on his Lowe’s vest. He looked at the picture and quipped “we don’t have those”, and walked away without offering any help or alternate suggestions. This encounter is why I hate shopping Lowe’s.
We left and went to our local ACE Hardware store, Burke Brothers, a much smaller shop, whose associate greeted us at the door and upon seeing the picture took us directly to the exact item we needed along with the proper drill bit tool we would need to help fit it to our chair. Now - that is what I call service and expert help. Thank you Burke Brothers.

This is my go to place for any and all home repairs and needs. We were at Lowes yesterday to get a replacement kitchen faucet and the Lowes employee that was working that department was knowledgeable and helped us out pick a new faucet. This Lowe’s on Walnut in Cary, NC has really outdone themselves on friendliness and happy personnel!
Upon arriving, Robert greeted me, saw me wander through the ornaments, and stepped over to offer his assistance. I couldn’t decide between 2 so he made my decision easier! He offered me an additional 20% off. Sold! Thank you Robert!
Then upon checking out, Anjanette stepped up to help me again! She processed the discount for me and created a “pick up later” tag for another purchase.
Excellent inventory, clean, awesome staff and seem to enjoy having a great day on purpose. Well done to all.
