They don’t match their own online prices for the same store. I bought something in store, that was available for 3 hour pickup. The person that I talked to there said that it’s online only, but if I order it online I could leave the store with the one currently in my hand. The numbers on my card had worn off so I couldn’t use it for an online purchase. They were supposed to run my card to show the numbers so that I could enter it online and get the$20 off. Instead they just purchased the item at the full price. Businesses will price match competitors so the customer can feel safe, like they’re getting the best deal available. Lowe’s won’t even price match their own stores online price. It’s the same item from the same location. Absolutely horrendous business practice.

Absolutely awful customer service and frankly lack of basic human empathy. I had ordered a door and scheduled an installation through their millwork department. After nearly two months of no door and many phonecalls with installation services, I finally had to make several trips to the store to track down a person who could help. I didn't find anyone to help, I found Kristina. Kristina in millwork was unhelpful, unsympathetic, antagonistic, and incompetent. I was finally able to get her manager to help me while she fumed behind the him looking angry that I had been comped some of the cost of the installation. Save yourself some trouble and go anywhere else to get help with fixing your home. This Lowe's is not the answer.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
