We tried to buy a storm door and have it installed by Lowe's in Arden. We purchased the door and handle and paid $35 to have our doorframe assessed. A charge we were told would be discounted from the door when installed. A week later when the installer brought the door to be installed he found it was broken so he took it back saying he would order a new one. He never did. A week later I saw the cost of the door (but not installation or handle) was credited back to the card. My wife was then contacted by Installation services about reordering the door. Unfortunately she was texted an amended contract from them for double the price of the original door! She refused to sign and we decided to go to the store to order the door. We spoke with Assnt Manager M (I'll use initials instead of names), who was very helpful but who was flummoxed by something about the purchase. I'm still not sure what the problem was but M calls Installation services and speaks for 10 minute with J. He then gives the phone to my wife who speaks with J. J assures her that he will reorder the door and try to work out a discount, great! We leave happy. A few days later she gets a call from someone else in installation services that says they can't do anything and that we will need to go to the store to order the door. At this point we've used hours of our time and have little faith Lowe's will deliver. We decide to cancel the install and get all of our money back. I called the toll-free customer service line and after 30 minutes they said could do nothing and I would need to talk to installation services. Fortunately the Installation Services rep was able to credit back the installation cost. It took an hour with both reps but at least progress was made! We were still being charged for the handle and the assessment (I wasn't going to pay for an assessment for a door that Lowe's was not able to deliver) so I went to store to get those refunded. For whatever reason no one person\department can just refund everything! The initial cashier was good and refunded the handle but said she couldn't refund the $35. After speaking with a supervisor I got a store manager, L. I explained to her that the original door was broken, that we had tried to reorder a new door through her store and through installation services and both parties kept bouncing us between them and now I just wanted all of our money back including the $35. She said there was nothing she could do as it was in the contract we signed. I pointed out the contract also said Lowe's would install a door but they seemed unable to do after nearly three weeks. She gave no indication of empathy, offered no other solution. She could've offered to try and reorder the door, or store credit, or a gift card, or a coupon, anything to show she valued a Lowe's customer. Honestly, if she'd just said "I'm sorry, I know this is frustrating and Lowe's is normally better than this" I might not be so frustrated and disappointed. Instead I got nothing but a $35 charge for Lowe's NOT to install a new door! This story ends with me a very, very dissatisfied customer leaving this review and hoping someone other than L will be willing to reach out to me to make this better. We will see what happens, until then, congratulations Lowe's, you've made an Ace man out of me.

minutes later. Desk says, “ I’ll let somebody know” Lumber says I’ll send somebody” Customer service say “Somebody’s on the way”
Took an hour to get a fork lift to load four cross ties into my trailer.

Cannot get anyone that knows about anything on the phone.Cannot even get a manager and you have to fight an AI.Bot over the phone, when you do get an associate on the phone, they can't help you.I'd rather shop at Ace Hardware Where you can get customer service and they help you.

There is no Lowe's in the location given on Google maps. Not even sure it's the right road. Is a confusing area. Many intertwining parking lots. There is no Lowe's in sight when standing in the location given on Google maps.

Came in for maple plywood that I had checked online and called the day before to make sure was there. When I got in there were only 2 sheets on the rack so I went to the front to ask for help. The three people up there said no one was in lumber and couldn’t get down the rest. I asked what we can do and they just shrugged at me.

It appears that I’ve been charged multiple times for an order. How can I resolve this?
These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order. For orders with longer lead times, your method of payment will be reauthorized to ensure funds remain available until your item is shipped. If you observe multiple pending authorizations, please contact your financial institution as each bank’s policies differ on how long authorizations are held.
