I am a local contractor and spend ALOT of money here. Went on Saturday to buy some paint and other miscellaneous items. Spent 40 minutes in the store after I put my paint order in, new paint guy said it would be 5 to 10 minutes. Did the rest of my shopping (30 minutes or so) and went and picked up my paint. Guy that did paint checked me out, said everything was good to go. Drove home (an hour away) and opened paint. Wasn't mixed at all. Called to talk to a manager and was hung up on 3 times. Dude was rude and unprofessional from paint desk to check out.

Gabby in Returns was very rude. She made several backhanded comments such as ‘back so soon?’ and, after I returned an item and purchased something else, while my card was still processing she said ‘wait, your card might not go through.’ Completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Customers shouldn’t be spoken to this way. I left feeling disrespected instead of helped.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s. Orders shipped in multiple shipments will be charged separately at time of shipment; therefore, you may see multiple charges, but they'll never exceed the full amount of your order.
