I had purchased a "sloth garland" with a printed price of $19.99 on the label. When I checked out was charged $24.99. when I went back to store, product was unopened in its original package with the receipt the checker acted like I was trying to get away with something. Told her to price check item, she did, lo and behold it rang up for $24.99. I explained that for most of my adult life I had worked retail, that she needed to report the price discrepancy to the store manager so that it could be corrected. She was rude, aloof, and clearly wasn't concerned. As a customer watch for what the product is marked then for what you are charged! I am not likely to return to this store however it's a good lesson moving forward.

We had a very unpleasant customer service experience today at World Market. While I was on the phone, my wife asked a store employee (I believe her name was Kristin or Kristen) a simple question about a dining table set. The employee was rude, dismissive, and made faces instead of helping her. There was no reason for that behavior. I ended my phone call and told her we no longer needed assistance. At checkout, I politely asked the cashier if I could speak with a manager. Unfortunately, the same employee intervened again and told the cashier that the manager did not need to speak with me, calling me rude. If this employee is part of store management, I honestly feel bad for the other employees working under this type of behavior. I understand stores can be busy during the holiday season, but that does not excuse treating customers this way. I have never experienced customer service like this before, and it was extremely disappointing.

I love world market. I shop here a lot. I go in the other day in the middle of the day. I go to the register with $56 worth of items. The cashier asks me if I want to use cash or charge. I tell her I have cash and I hand her $100 bill; she literally freaks out and tells me she cannot take my money because I gave her $100 bill even though my change is only $44. If World Market is going to jump on the bandwagon of not accepting cash or making me feel bad or ostracized for giving cash as my American way of paying for a purchase, then I have no business giving them my business. The cashier literally asked me if I wanted to pay with cash and then got freaked out because I wanted to pay with cash. Cash is freedom. The second you take it away, America has no freedom.
