- BHBrenda HiattDec 15, 20251.0On Sat, Dec 13, I went to Lowes Meridian to purchase several hundred dollars of merchandise for my kitchen and closets. I was there for about 45 minutes and could find only one employee, and he knew nothing about the merchandise I needed and was unsuccessful in finding anyone who did. I returned on Monday afternoon and immediately asked the lady at the Customer Service desk to find someone who could help me with wire shelving, pantry door caddies and pull-outs for lower cabinets. She directed me to the Home Decor desk. The young woman there said, "I don't know nothing 'bout that!" She then asked another employee who said, "No, I don't personally know anything." He did try unsuccessfully to contact a manager. I returned to the Service Desk lady who did page for a member of management. About 10 minutes later, a young woman whose tag read "Front of Store Supervisor" arrived. She unsuccessfully attempted to contact Andrew, whom she said would be able to help. She then called and spoke to a male member of management who never showed up. After leaving the store , I called the store and asked to speak to a manager. After being on hold for 5:15, I hung up. No wonder people go to Hattiesburg, Jackson and Tuscaloosa to shop!!
- BIBrett InMsDec 9, 20251.012/8/25 Meridian Lowe's apparently has serious issues going on at this store as can be attested by the reviews. I had an elderly customer order a refer and range to be delivered a week later. Driver shows up at 5:30 pm and states that he must have left his tools at the last delivery and can not install them, so left the refer on the carport and the range in the middle of the kitchen. I got on the phone with him and told him I'd drive over with my tools and help him, but he said he had to proceed to another delivery. The next day, after many calls to meridian Lowe's and just as many transfers to 'terminal hold' of more than 20 minutes I got involved. I experienced the same problems with their AI phone system and ended up on terminal hold. Called corporate and was told they'd handle it as a 'service call' issue and that they'd be out there THURSDAY, three days later! With a definite time frame between 9am and 9pm! It's bad enough when I go there and can only find employees outside on break and have to climb shelves because they can't seem to restock them (yes, I know that I'm not supposed to use their ladder or climb shelving, but it's not like an employee is around to stop me). Or that I only get offered help to load large items like Windows and doors by passing by customers, but to not even be able to answer the phone? Come on Meridian Lowe's... Do better. UPDATE: 12/11/25 As promised, Lowe's did come by and bring the refrigerator into the home for the tenant today. BUT, they did not connect the water, even though it only required screwing the existing flex hose onto the back. They left no manual or paperwork. They did not haul off the old one as promised. Just left it on the carport. They didn't bring the flex hose that was paid for (even though it turns out it wasn't needed). But the worst part is pictured. A large dent at the bottom of the door! Looks to have been caused by a hand truck, but I wasn't there when it got brought in, so can't say for certain.
