- BSBrian SweetNov 11, 20251.0DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES FROM LOWES…..We bought a Maytag washing machine for over $600 back in July of this year… 4 months ago. The washing machine will not cycle due to a lid latch issue. After speaking with Lowe’s to get our proof of purchase which took FOREVER and holding their hands to prove to them that I bought the product there, We asked if we could just switch the product out. Lowe’s tells us to call Maytag and request a Return Autorization number and they will be able to replace it. So after calling Maytag come to find out it is the Lowe’s manager that has to call and ask for a RA#. After we called Lowe’s back the manager was less than helpful and unwilling to help us out. I give Lowe’s a lot of money every year but I can assure you I will be going to Menards from now on. Terrible service

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
