    Let me start off by saying I rarely use those because their customer service has always been terrible. I would much rather use HD or menards as the staff tends to be much more knowledgeable and helpful. My full-time gig is rehabbing houses and I would rather drive 10 extra minutes to go to a different store than go to Lowe's. However, this Sunday morning last minute I needed to rent a trailer and Lowes in St. Peters was the only Box Store that had one available. I called around 8:30, spoke with Andrew, confirmed that the trailer was available, confirm the price and let the associate know that I would be there in 1 - 2 hours. At no time did he mention I needed to bring my trucks registration nor the fact that I needed a half ton truck. So when I get there and do not have my registration with me they tell me I cannot rent the trailer. Then he proceeded to call me a liar when I asked him why he did not tell me I needed the registration over the phone. His response " I tell everyone I definitely told you!" This is a lie. At no point in customer service should you ever lie to a customer nor should you call a customer a liar especially when you know the customer is telling the truth. There is a 0% chance I would have driven to Lowe's if I would have had this information from what I called. I do not have my registration in my truck. Please, do not waste your time going to this store. You will get much better customer service at one of the other building supply stores. Also U-Haul happens to be cheaper and quicker... I picked up a trailer from Uhaul 30 minutes later - turns out they're cheaper anyway.

    Buyer beware. This store will think nothing of reselling returned items in CLOSED boxes before confirming contents are intact. These may not be labelled "as is" in any way to provide fair warning. A "clearance" ceiling fan we purchased and hired an electrician to install was found to be missing screws, the light kit, and necessary wiring once the electrician began setting out contents. We called and spoke with 'manager' Mark, who offered to refund the fan. When asked how the box was sold without all its contents, he indicated that is not Lowes responsibility. He showed no concern about what was proving to simply be a common, deceptive sales practice. He showed no concern for this lack of transparency at "his" store. Additionally, he alluded to it being the customer's responsibility to verify contents of a box are all included. So, lessons learned: 1) customers should open and inspect every box before buying. 2) customers are expected to be skilled electricians, plumbers, etc. who can expertly verify necessary contents are included. Unbelievable! The manager took absolutely no accountability for this happening. I fully expect that, when this fan is returned, it will go right back on the shelf for another unsuspecting customer to purchase.

    My husband went to your location and purchased a new propane tank so we could cook food for our family and while there he waited due to understaffing which is fine but once an attendant helped he had to leave and get more keys bc the one locker was all full with empty tanks so he put my husband empty in and left so he could open a new one to get him a new tank, while he waited the manager whoever that is basically made my husband feel like he was lying when asked where his other tank was and he told him the associate took it and was coming back and acted like my husband was lying either because his skin color or idk but made him uncomfortable because why would he try to steal a tank he came for and traded in. Then the other associate came and told manager he was waiting on him. Idk what’s going on but you’ve lost our business and need to communicate better with each other rather than making someone feel like they are in the wrong when told to wait there. Management needs a lesson in customer service.
