Ordered a 600$ tool chest early one weekend morning with a delivery time of 2 PM at the latest. Never arrived. It was about 6 PM before a note was made in the app. Next day my wife and I are at work and Lowe’s randomly puts it on my front porch the next day without any contact or notification of any kind. Ratty torn box. Inexcusable in 2026. Never again from Lowe’s.

Lowe’s is my go to for most all my home improvement projects. More often than not ,they have everything I’m looking for. I do not appreciate that Lowe’s has eliminated the humans doing check out. You’re now required to bring up your own items, there is a person to watch and help if you get stuck or something doesn’t work right. Pricing is good and their inventory is typically aligned with what you see online .

I had one of the most unprofessional and concerning retail experiences I’ve ever encountered at Lowe’s. We purchased a floor register through DoorDash and simply came in to exchange it for the correct size. What should have been a basic, everyday transaction turned into a situation that felt careless at best and fraudulent at worst. The associate at the return desk refused to process an exchange or offer store credit and insisted the return had to go back to the “card on file.” When we asked what card that was, she read off the last four digits — and it was NOT our card. It was the DoorDash red card used by the Dasher. We clearly and repeatedly stated we did NOT authorize a refund to a card that does not belong to us. Despite that, the return was processed anyway without our consent. Let me be clear: This means your store processed a financial transaction on behalf of a customer after being explicitly told not to. When we escalated to a supervisor, the situation only got worse. Instead of resolving the issue, she doubled down, hid behind “store policy,” and then attempted to have us sign a receipt authorizing something we never approved. When we refused, her response was dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, as we walked away, both the supervisor and associate began speaking negatively about us loud enough for us to hear. This is unacceptable on multiple levels: • Processing a return to a non-customer card without authorization • Refusing reasonable alternatives like exchange or store credit • Attempting to force a signature after the fact • Openly disrespecting customers within earshot This is not just poor customer service — it shows a complete breakdown in training, accountability, and basic professionalism at the store level. If this is truly “policy,” then it’s a deeply flawed one that puts customers at risk. If it’s not policy, then your leadership team is either uninformed or choosing not to take responsibility. Either way, corporate leadership at Lowe’s should be paying very close attention to how this store is being run. I expect better from a company of this size, and right now, this location is not delivering anything close to it.

We came in on 3/28 and the cashier Darlene was extremely rude. As soon as we got to the register she snapped saying "it will be a minute I have to log in", we said thats fine no no problem. We waited patiently. She spoke very loudly to the cashier that was leaving about another customer saying " I would normally help them (big sigh) but i have to be a cashier today". While checking out our items there was a product that did not have a bar code she double scanned one similar we told her they were different items she huffed and said" we'll how am I supposed to know that. How am I supposed to know what it is" at that point we just said to look it up because she was so awful with her attitude. She complained the entire transaction she finally looked it up and said "we'll i hope that's the right item"
