- RRRyan RechtienFeb 24, 20261.0I signed on for a month to month rental (didn't realize rate would fluctuate). My rate was $139 for a 10x15. I paid $139 for a few months. Then I received a bill for $219. Which was a 60% increase in my bill. I reached out to the company and they stated my month to month lease was subject to rate increases. I understand rate increases are possible however a 60% increase is absurd. They stated the adjustment was based on their calculations of current rates and local availability however the term I would use is Price Gouging and Corporate Greed. Once I am done with the unit I will never do business or recommend Extra Space or any of their affiliates.
