Sonny was amazing!!!! He assisted me with locating my lock I forgot to pick up and checked in on me several times since I was moving a lot of stuff by myself. He even brought me water when I was struggling to finish. Very supportive staff and I know my things are safe!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Repeated Access Failures, Lockouts, and Unsafe Procedures
Ongoing problems with this Extra Space Storage location from the moment my account was opened.
I created and paid for my account online. My payment was accepted, but I was not given a PIN. I later learned the PIN must be issued in person, yet every time I went to the location during business hours, no staff were present. Despite this, they took my money while leaving me unable to access the facility. To make matters worse, they mistakenly opened two accounts in my name & my daughter’s name from auto fill & birthday as well she is 8yrs old .Which tied up my funds until a refund was processed. I had already paid for a U-Haul and had no money for alternative storage.
After eventually gaining access, I had an initial late-night interaction with security while unloading. Which involved him yelling at the top of his lungs down the hallway that an alarm had been tripped, and the police were on their way. I jogged caught up with him, asked him questions Calmly spoke with the guard, asked what he said & for clarification explained I was leaving, secured my unit, and left.
The following day, I returned went into the office because I did not know my PIN (never memorized site crashes a lot. I was then told I was locked out of my unit for allegedly hitting a gate and tripping an alarm. I had not been notified of any lockout and was unaware of this accusation. I explained the situation and asked the staff member to review their own facility footage to verify it did not happen. He refused, told me I could not be given my PIN, stopped assisting customers in the office said there was no manager on site to help, he threaten to call police not being in the wrong or a criminal ,I calmly waited. They never arrived.I was with my daughter so I left from our declining patience with I left I saw someone outback throwing away trash.
The next day, I spoke with the manager,asked if he was I saw he confirmed he had been on site outback taking out trash during the prior incident despite the employee saying no manager was on site . The manager reviewed the footage, confirmed I was not at fault, apologized, and credited my account.
Weeks later, I was required to move units because my original 10x15 unit was a corner unit with only a standard doorway, not a full 10x15 entrance. I repeatedly asked to be moved to an adjacent vacant unit. By the time the move was approved, I was reassigned to a unit several lanes away, significantly increasing the work required. I was given 48 hours to complete the transfer.
When the new unit was opened and I paid a transfer fee , I didn’t notice I was not provided a lock or that he took it or told I needed to purchase one, despite locks being mandatory. I discovered this only after hours. I called and left messages but received no response. I continued moving because my belongings were unsecured.
Late that night, security again arrived yelling that I had tripped an alarm. I explained I was actively moving units and had no lock. I stated I did not feel safe leaving my belongings unsecured, especially since other people were present in the building. Security told me I was being charged and that I was the only person inside, despite someone visibly walking behind them during the interaction.
The next day Feb 3rd, I was informed my account was being terminated and that I had until February 6 to remove all my belongings. I do not have the time or financial ability to meet this deadline, particularly given that these delays were caused by repeated staff and procedural failures.
This location shows a pattern of taking payment without access, denying entry without notice, refusing to review their own footage, and handling customer property unsafely.
My advice: do not store your belongings at this location
