So nightmare situation as well. Zac arrives to do routine maintenance on my Subzero and Wolf stove. He turns on a knob that he thought was the small oven and then asks if he could use my restroom while it heats up. He was in there for 5 minutes - obviously taking a crap - while I smell something burning. He had accidentally turned on the griddle on which there were flammable items. I turned off the hot griddle, removed the items and turned on the fan. When he was finished in the restroom I let him have it for not being familiar with the appliance and not being focused. This could have been a disaster had I not been in the same room.

We had been repeat customers and always happy with this company—until now. Our most recent experience was an absolute nightmare.
Trip 1: Technician inspected the ice maker and told us exactly what part to order from Bosch.
Between Trips 1 & 2: We ordered the part as instructed and paid for it.
Trip 2: A different technician arrived, took one look, and said the part was completely wrong. No apology. No effort to fix it. No refund. Just “buy another one.” They didn’t care at all that we had wasted money on a part they told us to buy.
Trip 3: We paid for the “correct” part and had it installed—only for the technician to break our ice maker entirely. It went from making ice (but not shutting off) to making nothing at all.
Trips 4 & 5: Multiple return visits. Still no ice. After trip 5 they even had the audacity to quote us $315 for yet another part—caused by their own mistakes.
Trip 6: A technician finally installed the new part for free, and we had ice again… but now the fridge door flap was broken, which I had to fix myself.
Six visits. Wasted money. Weeks without ice. Damage to our fridge. Not a single sincere apology.
This company took no responsibility for their repeated mistakes and treated a loyal customer like we didn’t matter. We will never use them again.

St. Louis Appliance Repair has been servicing our appliances for many many years. And they always do a great job. Recently, we had three appliances that needed work, and two of them were particularly persnickety. This meant that Jared the technician (who by the way is a very interesting man, very friendly, was always on time, quick and efficient, we had fascinating conversations!) had to come back on several occasions. But because we had already paid for the labor in the beginning of this set of repairs, the only additional charges were for the new parts. We love this company - they are always our go-to appliance repair folks!

We’ve had to use this company a lot after our new kitchen was installed. We bought top end appliances and sadly almost all have needed repair. (They don’t make them like they used to.)
This company and their staff have always been professional and friendly. They really know what they’re doing. Now that we’re out of warranty the cost for repairs has me worried. But they seem to be reasonable. Thanks for being reliable, courteous and professional.
