I visited Lowe’s today to purchase can lights for my basement. I did not see the item that I was interested in, so I requested assistance from a Lowe’s employee. The employee I encountered was on her phone and did not even make eye contact with me. She said she didn’t work in said department and that another person would have to help me. So, I asked the gentleman she pointed to, if he could help me. He replied that he couldn’t help me either, while hastily walking away. At this point, I felt disrespected and therefore was going to take my money to Menards. But before I left I wanted to speak to a manager. I asked a gentleman standing at the front of the store if he could locate a manager. But he could not. I find it disheartening that Lowe’s customer service has fell to this level. I’ve never had this problem at Menards. I will no longer shop at Lowe’s in Cape Girardeau.
