- KJKathy's Island JewelJul 19, 20191.0EXTREMELY disappointed with Leslie's equipment & service! I have been shopping at Leslie's in Ballwin, MO for over 10 years. In July, 2017, I purchased a new pool motor, which died within a year. It was replaced last year, still under warranty. This year it AGAIN died in July, still under warranty. I called for a new one, and they said there weren't any in the area. As time was of the essence, we briefly discussed upgrading to a new version. And then I was told I could get a store credit for chemicals instead, if I chose to get a motor somewhere else. I have now had a new motor installed by a different company, and was just told that I CAN'T get a store credit at Leslie's for my returned motor. This has been a big hassle for me for the last 3 summers, and I feel I was given misinformation on MULTIPLE occasions. I've lived at this house, with a pool, for over 25 years, but have never had such issues with the pool until I started buying equipment from Leslie's. I will now be taking all of my pool purchases & maintenance elsewhere.
