The day before the scheduled delivery I got an email stating that my material would be onsite between 8:00 am - 12:00 pm the next day. I notified my contractor and made arrangements to receive the delivery and install the boards. Later the same day (5:30 pm) I check my email to find out that my order had been rescheduled over two weeks out. Called customer service (both local store and national) to find out what happened. Was told that I needed to be referred to the fulfillment department which of course no one was available. I understand things happen and it’s probably not a person that created this problem. I chalk it up to Lowes not having a system that is capable of being able to recognize a problem until it’s too late for the customer. I will not order online again. If it’s not in stock, I’ll go somewhere else.

These charges are likely authorization holds that are placed throughout the life cycle of your order to ensure the funds are reserved for your purchase. When you place an order, your payment method is authorized for the full amount of the purchase. As items from your order ship, your payment is charged and the authorization is no longer held by Lowe’s.
