- JJJorgeFeb 19, 20261.0There is good reason the city of New York sued Extra Space. Reasons: 1. precipitously raising prices with little to no notice. 2. Changing customers’ locks to deny them access to their belongings. 3. Charging additional previously undisclosed junk late fees for allegedly delayed payment. 4. Threatening to auction off consumers’ belongings unless the consumer pays the entirety of the unexpected charges and fees. My experience is aligned with these reasons. Totally predatory and unethical. I have an open complaint with the MN state AG. Thanks for nothing Steve. I used to be with Acorn mini storage and ended up being past due. It was resolved with ease. Steve likes to argue and gaslight. Stick with a local branch. This place has mice and is terrible.
