- VLVictoria Turcios Laparra2 days ago1.0I stored my belongings at this location for about three years, there’d be times I’d check my unit frequently and others where I’d go only as needed by season. I ended my rental last winter (2024) after discovering burglary of items in my unit. I was headed there to grab winter gear, but my unit’s key wouldn’t turn despite the lock appearing to be fine. An employee removed the lock and noted that was concerning given that the lock was intact— just clearly wasn’t my lock. Once opened, many of my items had been stolen. Clearly someone was familiar with the locks they issued, how to remove them, and had plenty of time to pick through the unit. I filed a police report and thankfully had insurance, which recovered some losses. To my surprise, the officer informed me this facility had multiple break-in’s in the previous months. I confronted the staff about those previous burglaries but their response was disappointing. Zero communication was sent to alert folks about these instances, even when units on my floor had been hit. I greatly appreciated the employee who helped me the evening of the incident, but I wouldn't recommend storing your items here unless you're investing in the proper level of insurance. Going through this felt so icky and I don’t wish it on others.
