    Bought a laundry tub faucet online and tried to install it, but it did not fit the copper water lines which fit my current one. Tried to return it, but it was past the 90 day return period. Lowes refused to take a brand new item back as it was past the 90 days. No offer of store credit. All they would have had to do was give me store credit which would retain me as a customer and put the item back on the shelf. Given their refusal, I will never shop at Lowes again. Never believed it would not fit and should have known about the 90 return period, but stores who really want your business will do things to keep you as a customer. Not Lowes. Again, will never go back!! Lowes responded, as you can see, and I called their customer service number. They changed the return time frame on this one item to one year. I went into Lowes and told them I tried to return the faucet and was told I could not. I showed them the review and that customer service changed the timeframe from 3 months to one year. They took my item back! I told them that they saved a customer and that I will be back to their store in the future. I will just be very careful about their return policy timeframe. Thank you Lowes for the your understanding and one time change on your return policy! The star rating went from 1 to 5.

    Buyer Beware. My experience with Lowe’s has been extremely disappointing. I encountered inconsistent customer service, poor product quality, and employees who appeared inadequately trained. Multiple mistakes were made across more than one store, and communication between departments and locations was poor. Most concerning was the complete lack of follow-up after issues were identified. Problems were passed along but never properly resolved, requiring repeated time and effort on my part as the customer. Given the size and reputation of Lowe’s, I expected far better service, accountability, and quality control. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of those expectations.

    Purchased an A. O. Smith water heater on 08/22/2025. On 12/11/2025, the unit began leaking after being inspected by CenterPoint Energy Home Service Plus (repair plan) and then by our licensed plumber from Louie & Sons, Inc., the company that originally installed the unit. Both confirmed the water heater is leaking and needs to be replaced. When we attempted to return the unit to the store, we were informed that we had to contact A. O. Smith directly to obtain authorization. After approximately an hour and a half on the phone, we were told they required photos of the unit installed and photos of the leak to determine whether the issue could be repaired. This resulted in nearly two hours wasted between the store and the manufacturer. We were also told the leaking unit would need to be reinstalled to obtain these photos, causing additional unnecessary time and expense. At that point, it was more cost-effective to walk away than to continue the process. Lowe’s did not stand behind the product they sold, and the warranty process was extremely frustrating and impractical. As business owners with multiple companies, we have already significantly reduced our purchases due to ongoing issues, and this experience was the final straw. Buyer beware.
